Kids & Family Safety Policy

Effective: 2026-08-27

Regulatory basis: COPPA (US, under-13), GDPR-K Art 8 (EU/EEA, under-16), UK Age-Appropriate Design Code, Australian eSafety Basic Online Safety Expectations.

1 · Minimum age

  • Global default: 13. Users under 13 may not create a Trinity account — enforced at signup from the date of birth entered; the exact day is discarded immediately and only a hashed year+month + age band ("13-15", "16-17", "18+") is retained.
  • EU/EEA/UK, self-declared 13-15: signup requires a guardian's email. The account is created in a locked, pending state — it cannot log in — until the guardian clicks the confirmation link we email them. Once confirmed, the account unlocks permanently.
  • EU/EEA/UK, 16+: signs up normally, same as the global 13+ flow.

Users detected as under-age have their accounts frozen and their data deleted within 30 days.

2 · Family plan seats

The Family Plan lets a parent add child seats to their subscription. Each child seat:

  • Uses a X-Family-Seat header that scopes generation to a monthly cap.
  • Applies the kid-safe content filter to every prompt and lyric (blocks profanity, sex, drugs, weapons, gambling references).
  • Applies the kid-safe video filter to every Sora 2 music-video prompt so mature visuals never render.
  • Cannot enable Style Transfer, Mood Match, or Voice Lab — this is enforced server-side: /api/voice/clone/upload and /api/voice/clone/tts return 403 whenever a live X-Family-Seat header is present, so a child seat is technically blocked from cloning or synthesising any voice, not just hidden in the UI.
  • Cannot list content on the Marketplace or Discover feed.

Parents can revoke a seat at any time from Family Plan → Manage seats. Revocation deletes all generations associated with the seat within 24 hours.

3 · No behavioural profiling of minors

Under-18 accounts are excluded from analytics cookies, marketing emails, and any A/B experiment. Their data is used solely to deliver the service.

4 · CSAM

Trinity has zero tolerance for content sexualising minors. All prompts + generations pass through moderation that blocks such content and flags the offender for immediate termination. Confirmed cases are reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline within 24 hours in accordance with 18 USC §2258A.

5 · Complaints and reports

  • COPPA compliance officer: coppa@mastersglobalinc.com
